In this lesson, students talk about future plans using be + going to and practice making arrangements (time, place, transport, confirmation). The main outcome is a short spoken plan and a clear written message arranging a meet-up.

A: Hey, are you free on Saturday?
B: Yes, I am. What are you going to do?
A: I’m going to go to the mall. Do you want to come?
B: Sure! What time are we going to meet?
A: How about 2:00? Let’s meet at the main entrance.
B: That works for me. I’m going to take the subway.
A: Great. I’m going to drive. See you then!
B: See you!
Students pick one weekend plan card (coffee / movie / gym / shopping / park). Then they negotiate time + place + transport.
Write a message (60–90 words) to a friend. Invite them to do something. Use going to at least 3 times and include time + place + confirmation.
Optional: students swap messages and reply with a change: “Sorry, I can’t at 6:30. Can we meet at…?”
